Brief Description: Software Engineering Services
partnered with Blackhawk Management Corporation delivers Information
Technology services and support to U.S. Army Garrison Fort Hood,
the Army's premier power projection platform, in support of Fort
Hood's mission and strategic vision. Fort Hood is the
"The Army's premier installation to train and deploy heavy
forces. The Fort Hood SES Team provides Information Technology
services and support through the Directorate of Information
Management NetCentric Contract. As of October 2007, we have
seven active task orders supporting current year operations
spanning across four different areas of responsibility requiring
a contract work force of twenty-four personnel.
Desktop Systems Support Branch Team: The DOIM Desktop Systems
Support Branch Team provides Information Technology services and
support on the sensitive but unclassified network. This includes support
and maintenance of the Active Directory infrastructure, subscriber
messaging services, web services, and enterprise management services.
Key applications include, but are not limited to: Exchange,
Blackberry, SharePoint, Systems Management Server and Microsoft
Operations Manager, as well as various desktop applications and
performance and monitoring tools. While providing tier 3 customer
support for the above mentioned installation services, the DSSB
Team, when required, supplements the efforts of other service branches
within the DOIM, including Information Assurance and Customer Support.
Information Assurance: The IA Team provides technical and staff
support to the Fort Hood's DOIM, IA Division. The IA team conducts
system compliance checks, data collection and analysis, vulnerability
assessments, site surveys and inspections, and performs Systems Security
Authorization Agreement (SSAA) reviews in support of the DOIM IA operations.
SIPRNET Operations: The Secure Internet Protocol Routed
Network (SIPRNET) team performs system administration, enterprise
services, network engineering, new technology insertions, and
configuration management in support of the Fort Hood SIPRNET
Generating Forest (GF). The SIPRNET Team also plays a vital role
as an interface between the DOIM staff and III Corps tactical
subscribers. Some of the key activities of the SIPRNET team include,
but are not limited to: Directory and Enterprise services, Customer
Service Support, network administration and engineering, Protective
Distribution System (PDS) installation, performance monitoring,
COMSEC maintenance and tracking, and IT advisor to the Fort Hood
DOIM and Communities of Interest.
Garrison & Directorate Information Management & System
Security Support: The SES IMO/IASO provides information technology
services and support to multiple directorates throughout U.S. Army
Garrison Fort Hood in support of current and future operations.
Current Task Order support scheme includes USAG, DPTMS and DPTMS-ISD,
Battle Simulation Center and the Battle Command Training Branch. Some
