Job Description: Candidate will join the Applied Systems Division, under the Operations, Intelligence and Security (OIS) Business Unit, whose customers are primarily Department of Defense and Intelligence Community (IC) members. Project supports JFCC ISR and is for duration of 4 years.
Candidate will be involved in all parts of the software development process including Object Oriented (OO) design, development, testing and user support. Candidate will be part of a small technical team that currently provides development, integration, and deployment support to Intelligence Community customers.
Minimum Qualifications:
Requires Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or other related scientific or technical disciplines.
Also requires an active Top Secret security clearance.
Must be technically well-rounded with proven applications development expertise using web-based technologies and relational database skills; possess a good understanding of OO programming and the larger IT systems environment; have solid technical background, business analysis skills and be comfortable working in all phases of the software development lifecycle.
Must be a J2EE/Java EE 5 developer with 3-5 years of progressive software development experience, knowledge and experience with Java, JSF, EJB, JPA, and Hibernate coupled with strong SQL/JDBC knowledge and experience. NOTE: Minimum of 3 years in Java is required.
Must be a self-starter and have the flexibility to provide varying levels of support to the project, work well with limited oversight and be able to manage tasks and requirements in a fast paced development team environment.
Must be detail and process-oriented.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of current Intelligence Community and DoDIIS information technology and security standards and practices.
Experience with Java EE application servers to include Oracle Weblogic, JBoss, or Oracle Application Server
Experience with RDBMS systems to include Oracle 10g
Experience with SOAP, and REST Web Services to include an understanding of WSDL and XSD
Experience with Jasper Reports
Experience with Java development IDE (Eclipse or Netbeans)
Experience with Ant or Maven
Experience with the Rational Development suite of tools
Experience with the Agile software development methodology
Experience with JavaScript
Experience with Unix (Solaris currently in use)
Experience working in a CMMI environment
